Al Johara means the Jewel - of the fabled ‘Red City’ of Marrakech. Our choice of architect to do justice to the potential of its name and to the idyllic Al Johara location was critical. We were fortunate enough to be able to commission the famous award-winning Marrakech architect Elie Mouyal, seen here having lunch with his sons.

His designs are fabulous and the Al Johara property names such as Riad, Rampart and Borj are evocative of the old walled city of Marrakech which has clearly influenced their appearance.
